Dotti became an active advocate for persons with mental illness when her son became ill with schizophrenia during his senior year in college.She is the founder of Wings House, Inc., which joined with The Brain Foundation in January 2007 to form one dynamic team to purchase and maintain homes for adults with brain disease. Jim McCann
James joined the Board in 2013 and is the Foundation’s
Treasurer, working closely with the other board members to ensure that all
finances and financial reporting are in order. He is a Certified Public
Accountant and provides tax compliance, consulting, and business advisory
services to closely held businesses and high net worth individuals. James
received his BBA and Master of Accounting from The College of William and Mary,
and lives in Alexandria with his wife and son.
Jim Young
Jim joined the Board in 2014 as the Recording
Secretary. Originally from Lockport, New York, Jim has lived in
Centreville, Virginia since 1988. He retired from Lockheed Martin
Corporation in 2012. As a business planner, he has extensive
experience in cost estimating, budgeting, cost proposals, and pricing for
government customers.
John joined the Board of Directors in 2006 bringing a diverse set of skills in information systems, knowledge management, organizational management, process engineering, and communications. John retired from the MITRE Corporation in 2014, and the US Army as a LTC in 1992.
Dallison Veach joined the Board of Directors in 2018 and elected President of the Board in 2019. Dallison has been a resident of Fairfax County since 1983 and graduated from High School locally. After receiving a B.S. from Florida State University and an M.A. from the University of Central Florida, Dallison returned to the area in 1992. She worked in Government Relations and Corporate Government for many years before obtaining her Real Estate License in 2005. Dallison is currently the Broker Owner of the Veach Realty Group and has served in many leadership positions for the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors as well as the Virginia Realtors. She also has a deep history of volunteering in her local community for organizations such as the local PTA, Girl Scouts, Little League, and Lee District Land Use Committee among others. Dallison’s father suffered for many years with Parkinson and related Lewey Body Dementia symptoms before his death in 2016. She witnessed firsthand the challenges of trying to find adequate housing and support for her father during his illness. Dallison resides in Fairfax Station with her husband Kevin and three children. They love traveling together and participating in a variety of sporting activities.

David Hunt
David joined the Board in 2013 as the accountant/bookkeeper. Following graduation from Penn State University, he became a CPA with Ernst & Ernst in Philadelphia. He has since been serving non profit organizations as the chief financial officer; first with the Devereux Foundation and most recently with the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. David and his wife Audrey have lived in Centreville since 1988.
Dick Cunningham
After retiring from the US Army, Dick worked in real estate with Long and Foster. He currently manages multiple property investments and serves as the property manager for Laura's houses insuring all are well maintained.
Norma Anderson
Norma joined the Board in 2013.She spent her entire career in banking beginning at a small bank in rural Virginia.She moved to the Northern Virginia area and worked for the First Virginia Bank as a secretary in the Executive Offices.After 10 years at home with her young children, she returned to the First Virginia bank as a senior Trust Administrative Assistant until her retirement.She was active in her children’s schools and in the Boy Scouts, chairing many committees and fund raising events.Since retirement, she and her husband have traveled to all fifty states and most of Canada.She has three children, four granddaughters and one great-grandson.
